Originally from Orange County California, the Smiths purchased Parchers Resort & South Lake Landing in 2006. With over 50 years combined experience playing in the outdorrs, their focus is now to help others experience the epic grandeur of the Eastern Sierra. Meet the management team of Parchers Resort
Judy & Steve Smith - Having hiked all across the High Sierra backcountry from Cottonwood to Yosemite, this well traveled couple has looked to the Sierra as a safe haven from the hustle & bustle of city life for the past 30 years. Originally professional musicians, Steve & Judy switched gears as their family grew and together built Smith Chiropractic, a successful Chiropractic practice in Buena Park, CA. Proud parents of five children, songwriting, golfing, backpacking and now providing the best Sierra experience possible are their passions.
Jared "Smitty" Smith - An avid hiker, angler, photographer, fishing guide and author of two books on backcountry trout fishing, Jared has lived for the great outdoors his entire life. While he's constantly chasing the catch of a lifetime in both fresh & salt water, his heart has always been in the pristine lakes & streams of the High Sierra. As General Manager and co-owner of the resort and boat landing, Jared is dedicated to providing resort guests and area visitors with a tremendous outdoor experience. Jared is also the founder and co-owner of Sierra Slammers Customer Baits.
Kerry Tracey - Kerry's first love is horsemanship and anything related to horses or mules. Once her animals are schooled for the day she spends her time hiking and fishing in the high country, or working at Parchers. You'll see Kerry running the store most weekdays throughout the season.
Seth Blackamore- One of the most addicted fly fisherman I know and a very gifted photographer, Seth has hiked and fished all over the Eastern Sierra, among other destinations. He co-authored Fishin' Trails 2 with Jared back in 2016 and remains a loyal team member and a great leader who spends his work days running the boat docks at South Lake. Follow his travels and angling adventures on Seth's Instagram.
